Sherman Bucheger

Sherman Bucheger

Sherman was born in Vernon, Texas, to a traveling man (his dad was in the Air Force). By the time he graduated high school, he had called Indiana, Delaware, Ohio, and California home, besides spending at least one night in most of the rest of our 50 states.

He was soon institutionalized (the Army and marriage) where he did 12 years of bad time in both. The best part of these experiences were his daughter Emily, and his son Eric.

After the Army he ended up in the Denver area, where on a cold and drizzly night he happened upon a bar and our illustrious leader Tim, who was singing with a small band. He soon fell in love with the music like the rest of us, and started singing with some of us Irish-American type folks.

He claims to have some Irish heritage by the name of Henderson although he is not sure where they come from on the Emerald Isle. Never the mind though, we all love him and appreciate the talents he brings to our group and his renditions of the The Toy, Red Is the Rose, and Johnny Jump Up.

Though he claimed to have learned his lesson, Sherman got married again in 2010, to the lovely Renee and is proud to count daughter Michelle and granddaughter Melanie in his family today.

You're never quite sure of the ingredients and the spices change from time to time, but the flavor's just right for a taste of home.
